Registration instructions

Please read the following important instructions and the frequently asked questions on the next page carefully before you decide to subscribe to The Treasury of Preliminaries.

To register successfully and have a proper and successful practice, a Dharma practitioner is required to:

• have received the oral transmission of the four-foundation sadhana of the Karma Kagyu lineage, also known as the Karma Kamtsang lineage;
• have permission from a Kagyu lineage master to commence the practice;
• practice the four foundations at least half an hour every day; and,
• log onto the ‘Wake Up with Dharma’ website to report the progress of the four foundations every three months.

For those who have yet practiced the four foundations formally, your registration is welcome. But you will need to have the oral transmission and permission to practice to start with.

For other Dharma friends who would like to take up this practice, take Khenpo as one of your masters upon observation, and subscribe to his preliminary teachings, you can contact the website administrator through here. This will include Dharma friends who have yet received the oral transmission of this practice.

Upon submitting the registration form successfully, you will receive a notification email acknowledging receipt of your registration. It will generally take about five working days for the working team to process a registration and may differ by case. Once your registration has been reviewed and accepted, an email with a set of login with user name and password will be given. You are required to keep this set of login and password strictly for your personal use only and cannot be shared with others. You will then be asked to report the practice progress by logging onto the website every three months after a successful registration.

All of the information that we collect is for registration purposes and future correspondences on updated teaching materials and it will be kept strictly confidential.

If you fail to continue the practice and subsequently cannot update your practice progress for three consecutive times, you will no longer be eligible for a subscription to these practice instructions and materials. That would mean that your subscription would then be terminated automatically.

It is important to note that similar to other Vajrayana practices, the four-foundation practice can only be commenced after having the permission of your master and receiving an oral transmission. This applies to a review and practice of the liturgy. As such, you will be strictly required to keep all the related materials including the practice text, all the transcripts, and soundtracks that are available on this website with yourself only.

Given the preciousness of the teachings and to respect the teachings and guru, without prior written consent from Khenpo Kalsang Nyima or Wisdom Light Buddhist Association Limited, you are not allowed to forward, reprint, or upload any content of the ‘Treasury of Preliminaries’ onto your personal, or other organizations’ Facebook pages, Moments or other social media sites, or use it for other purposes. If you would like to share any of the content, prior written consent from Khenpo Kalsang Nyima or Wisdom Light Buddhist Association Limited would be required.
